Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in accounting software and a keen eye for detail to contribute to the smooth financial operations of our organisation.
We are based in Glasgow city centre, good access to public transport.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and transaction recording
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all accounts are accurate and up-to-date
Process accounts payable and receivable efficiently and accurately
Maintain organised financial records using recognised accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Assist with preparing financial reports and statements as required
Credit Control
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies
Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation
Skills
Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
Experience managing accounts payable and receivable processes
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards
